iTalk with Tuohy - Interview with Nick Hampson
Paul Tuohy talks to our very own Nick Hampson about the age-old question of whether or not RPG programmers can design GUI screens, as well as discussing how GUI has evolved to UX, what responsive design is, whether or not responsive design is a panacea and the importance of design and aesthetics.
"One of the big things I have seen with the IBM i community is that sometimes people are happy to stick with the green screen and damn anything that is not that because of one bad interface they have seen. My reality from, you know, doing green screen to graphical to mobile and all this other experience work since 1997 now is there are a lot more bad green screens out there than there are bad GUI screens. We should not ever, you know, blame one paradigm just because of one particular bad experience.” - Nick Hampson
